History
Scouts at Heslington was started in 1974. In 1999 we celebrated our 25th birthday with a special camp for everybody including old members.
Our Scout Hut was built in 1985 - 1986 through the help of the then Vicar - Geoffrey Hunter - and the generosity of the University who gave an old site hut which we used for components. Our building was built by several Leaders who worked at weekends and evenings for six months to put it up. Many improvements have been made since then.
